Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 18, 2026
Dentipal ("Dentipal," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Dentipal LLC and provides the dental staffing marketplace at dentipal.com and in the Dentipal apps for iPhone and Android (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account & profile information — name, email address, mobile phone number, role (dental professional or clinic), and the professional details you choose to add: work history, skills, qualifications, specialties, and your professional bio.
- Address — for dental professionals, the city, state and ZIP code given when setting up a profile, and the street address if you choose to add one.
- Verification documents — where you choose to upload them: your resume, professional license, certificates, driver's license, and an optional intro video. Government-issued identification and license documents are treated as sensitive information.
- Clinic information — office name, address, contact details, practice details, office photos, and notes you enter.
- Location — approximate device location, only while you are using the app and only when you choose a distance filter or turn on "Near Me", so shifts can be sorted by distance. We do not collect precise GPS location and we never collect location in the background. You can decline and search by city or ZIP instead.
- Camera, microphone and photo library — accessed only at the moment you choose to record an intro video, pick a photo, or attach a file. We do not access them at any other time.
- Content you create — posts, comments, replies, direct messages, job listings, applications, ratings, and support requests.
- Payment information — clinics add a payment card to pay professionals, and professionals provide payout details. Card numbers are collected and held by Stripe, our payment processor; Dentipal does not store full card numbers. We keep a record of the payments made through the Service.
- Device & usage information — a push notification token (if you enable notifications), device model and OS version, app version, how you interact with the Service, and the diagnostic information described under "Crash reporting and diagnostics" below.
- Communications — messages you send through the Service and records of SMS, email, and support correspondence.
How we use your information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Service, including matching professionals with clinics.
- To create and secure your account and, if you add an NPI number, to confirm that it matches your name in the public NPI registry.
- To send transactional and account-related communications, including SMS text messages you have consented to (see "SMS / text messaging" below) and push notifications you have enabled.
- To process payments between clinics and professionals.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To detect, investigate, and act on content and conduct that breaks our Terms of Service.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
Signing in with Google or Apple
If you choose to sign in with Google or with Apple, that provider confirms your identity to us and returns your email address and, where you allow it, your name. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose "Hide My Email," Apple gives us a private relay address instead of your own, and we use that address to reach you. We do not receive your password from either provider. Deleting your Dentipal account also revokes the connection to Apple.
AI and automated processing
Some features use artificial intelligence to read, score, or generate text. These features run on Dentipal's own self-hosted infrastructure. Your information is not sent to a third-party AI provider for these features.
- Resume tools — when you choose to run them, the text of your resume is parsed to suggest profile fields, and scored against a target role.
- Job matching — your profile, skills, and location are compared against open shifts to order the "Matched for you" list.
- Applicant ranking — for clinics, applicants are ranked using job-relevant signals only: role, skills, experience, rating, and rate.
- Job description assistant — generates and analyses draft job descriptions from the details a clinic enters.
- Dentipal Copilot — the in-app assistant. Your messages to it are processed to produce a reply, and the transcript is stored so you can revisit it.
AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or biased. It is labelled as AI-generated or AI-assisted, and it is a suggestion for you to review — never an automatic decision. Ranking and scoring do not decide who is hired; a person does. Every AI surface has a Report control so you can flag output that is offensive, harmful, or incorrect, and we use those reports to improve filtering. AI features are optional: you can use Dentipal without running any of them.
Crash reporting and diagnostics
We use Sentry, a third-party error-monitoring service, to receive reports when the app crashes or hits an error. These reports include the error and where in the app it happened, your device model and OS version, and the app version.
Once you are signed in, reports also include your account identifier and your role, so we can tell whether a fault affects one account or many. We do not send your name, email address, or phone number to Sentry, and authentication tokens are removed from reports before they are sent. Crash reporting carries no advertising identifier and is never used for advertising. If no crash-reporting key is configured for a build, no reports are sent at all.
SMS / text messaging
If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we send recurring automated SMS text messages such as one-time verification codes, shift and job alerts, candidate updates, and account notifications. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing or using the Service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. For more detail see our SMS Terms & Conditions.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information collected as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with any third parties. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties or affiliates.
How we share information
To run the marketplace, profile and application information you choose to submit is shared with the clinics or professionals you interact with. Professional profiles — including name, photo, role, city and state, experience, skills, travel radius and rating — are visible in Dentipal's public professional directory. Your phone number, street address and ZIP code are not shown to clinics or other members, or in the directory. What you post to the Dentipal network is visible to other members.
We also share information with service providers who help us operate the Service, only so they can perform that service for us, under obligations of confidentiality, and under contractual commitments to protect your information to the same standard as this policy:
- Stripe — payment processing between clinics and professionals, and payouts. Card details are handled by Stripe; Dentipal does not store full card numbers.
- Sentry — crash and error reporting, as described above.
- Google Firebase and Apple Push Notification service — delivery of push notifications.
- Google and Apple — only if you choose to sign in with them, to authenticate you.
- Email and SMS delivery providers, and our hosting provider.
We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Dentipal, our users, or others.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and the Service contains no advertising.
Data retention & deletion
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations, including retaining SMS consent records for compliance.
You can delete your account at any time — professionals from Profile, clinic root accounts from Account Settings, or from dentipal.com/delete-account. Deleting your account removes your profile and sign-in, your uploaded documents and photos, your posts, comments, likes and follows, your messages, your job applications and invitations, ratings you gave or received, your notifications, your support requests, and your saved cards. If no one else can manage a clinic you manage, that clinic is closed too: its job posts are withdrawn, open applications and invitations are cancelled, and its conversations, office photos, contact details and team access are removed. Team members keep their own accounts.
We keep only what the law requires: records of completed shifts and payments, for tax and payment purposes, and records of the SMS and email consent choices you made. Neither is used to contact you or to rebuild your account.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices
- Delete your account at any time, as described above.
- Opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP.
- Turn push notifications on or off, and choose which categories you receive, in Settings.
- Decline location access — the Service works without it; search by city or ZIP instead.
- Update your account information from within the Service.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
- Block another member, and report content or accounts, from anywhere they appear in the Service.
Age requirement
Dentipal is a professional staffing service for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, as set out in our Terms of Service. The Service is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
